Swedish gaming operator Cherry has reported a net loss of SEK8.2m for 2013 following a year of “significant investments” relating to the development of the company’s online gaming business.

Online gaming revenues increased by 32 per cent to SEK127.5m during the year, and now account for just under half of the company’s total revenue (48 per cent), with revenue in the final quarter of the year up 31 per cent to SEK35.6m.

“Cherry continues to grow substantially within online gaming,” said Cherry CEO Emil Sunvisson.
