Eight operators apply for five Norwegian lottery licences

Norway’s gambling regulator Lotteri-og stiftelsestilsynet has confirmed that it has received eight applications for new private lottery licences, although it can only award five licences under the recently adopted amendments to the country’s gaming regulations.

In February the Norwegain Ministry of Culture adopted amendments to lottery regulations allowing the Gaming Authority to award up to five new nine-year lottery licences.
