Sweden’s Betsson has reported a 30 per cent increase in revenue to SEK752.3m (€81.5m) for the second quarter of 2014, following strong growth from the company’s sports betting and online casino products.

Betsson benefited from betting on the football World Cup, which comprised 4 per cent of its total revenue during the period, as well as contributions from its recently acquired Dutch-facing online casino brands Oranje and Kroon.

Betsson president and CEO Magnus Silfverberg said that the company posted organic growth of 15 percent during Q2, which proved that the company’s strategic initiatives “are continuing to show results.”
