Playtech has reported a 21 per cent increase in total revenue to €214.4m for the first half of 2014, following strong growth from its flagship casino product which offset declines in the supplier’s bingo and poker offerings.

Playtech chairman Alan Jackson said that the company’s results were “impressive” and were achieved through the continued growth of its flagship casino product; strong growth in mobile gaming; the development of new and existing licensee relationships; and expanding its regulated markets presence.

“During the first six months of the year, Playtech continued to improve the way it develops its products, while growing revenue to an all-time high and managing its cost base, to again deliver an outstanding set of interim results,” said Jackson.
