Sweden’s Unibet Group has seen net profit more than double to £16.5m for the third quarter of 2014, as the final stages of the World Cup helped total revenue climb 26 per cent to £80.4m during the period.

Gross winnings revenue (GWR) from sports betting rose 59 per cent to £38.1m compared to the same period last year, with the operator’s live betting offering accounting for 45 per cent of the total.
