Spain’s regulated online gaming market recorded strong growth in the third quarter, aided by the performance of sports betting and an increase in active player numbers.

According to figures from regulatory authority La Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ), total market gross gaming revenue (GGR) in the third quarter climbed 19.5 per cent year-on-year to €61.97m, following a 17.8 per cent increase in amounts wagered to €1.56bn.
