The continued growth of France’s online sports betting market contributed to a 3 per cent year-on-year increase in gross gaming revenue for the first quarter of 2015, figures released by regulator authority L’Autorité de régulation des jeux en ligne (ARJEL) reveal.

Total gross gaming revenue (GGR) from the regulated French market climbed to €190m in the first quarter thanks to strong growth in sports betting, which helped to offset the ongoing decline in poker and a lack of improvement in horse racing.
