A strong performance from casino and sports betting has helped the Spanish iGaming market post an 13.9 per cent increase in first quarter revenue, according to results released by Spanish regulator La Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) which is set to issue licences for slot games and exchange betting later today.

First quarter gross gaming revenue grew to €77.4m, representing an 18.0 per cent rise from Q4 2014, aided by significant increases in deposits.

Over the quarter players deposited a total of €190.7m, up 25.6 per cent from the previous year, and 10.1 per cent from the preceding quarter.
