China LotSynergy Holdings has returned a loss of HK$12.9m (€1.5m) for the first half of 2015 after incurring goodwill impairment charges of $95.3m relating to its video lottery terminal (VLT) business, which remains in flux following the expiry of its exclusive contract with the China Welfare Lottery at the end of June.

The supplier’s exclusive ten-year VLT supply deal with the China Welfare Lottery Centre expired on June 28th, although the company said that it remains in talks regarding future paid cooperation on its VLT business.
