German lottery brokerage ZEAL Network has reported a 16 per cent decline in total operating performance to €91.9m for the first nine months of the year, with revenue adversely impacted by a high prize pay-out of €47.9m in May.

ZEAL said that while its underlying business remained strong, the high prize pay-out in May negatively impacted its statutory revenue and total operating performance, although other operating income benefited from hedging income of €38.3m.
