French gaming operator La Française des Jeux (FDJ) has hailed the “dynamism” of its scratchcard, sports betting and online businesses for driving a €700m improvement in turnover in the company’s full-year results for 2015.

Sales across all channels rose 5.4 per cent to €13.7bn for the year, with scratch card sales growing 10 per cent year-on-year to €6.3bn and sportsbook income up 14 per cent to €2.3bn. Draw games accounted for €3.6bn of sales, with quick draw products contributing an additional €1.4bn.

Similar to its main rival Pari-Mutuel Urbain (PMU), FDJ has embarked on a project to revamp and modernise its business, FDJ 2020, with the company meeting a number of key landmarks over the course of 2015.
