Spanish state-lottery operator Sociedad Estatal de Loterías y Apuestas del Estado (LAE) generated total sales of €8.78bn during 2015, representing growth of 4 per cent compared to the previous year and its first positive result after six years of decline.

“The overall improvement of the economic situation and the changes introduced in the games contributed to this growth,” said the lottery.
