The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has revealed that there were 277 registered remote gaming companies operating from the jurisdiction during the first half of 2015, generating gaming tax of €14.1m for the government.
In its interim performance for the first half of 2015, which covers both the land-based and remote gaming sectors, the MGA said that it issued 43 new remote gaming licences, with 22 licences terminated and 8 suspended.
