Spain’s regulated online gaming market enjoyed a strong end to 2015, benefiting from the performance of the expanded casino vertical and continued growth in sports betting, which helped gross gaming revenue increase by almost 45 per cent in the final quarter of 2015.

Total market gross gaming revenue (GGR) in the fourth quarter rose 44.5 per cent year-on-year to €94.76m, with turnover growing 31.1 per cent to €2.43bn, according to figures published by Spanish gambling regulator La Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ).
