UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has posted strong growth for the first quarter of 2016 as group net revenue increased by 11 per cent, driven by a 36.5 per cent improvement in its digital business.

Ladbrokes’ chief executive Jim Mullen said that it was an encouraging start to the year, with results throughout the first few weeks largely in its favour despite a disappointing Cheltenham racing festival.
