Swedish gaming operator Cherry has reported an 86 per cent increase in group revenue to SEK177.3m (€19m) for the first quarter of 2016, with more than three-quarters of the total now generated online.

First quarter online gaming revenue climbed 118 per cent year-on-year to SEK127.3m, as the number of active players more than tripled to 79,378 from 23,742 a year ago. New customers added during the period rose 184 per cent to 104,340, with total registered customers rising to approximately 1.2m.
