US gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games has reported a 5 per cent increase in second quarter revenue, despite a decline in its core gaming business.

Second quarter revenue increased to $729.2m, although results were impacted by $5.3m of unfavourable currency translations and $6.6m related to the expiration of the China lottery validation contract in January.

The year-on-year revenue growth included a 62 per cent improvement in interactive revenue, and increases in gaming machine sales and instant games revenue.
