Toronto-listed gaming operator Amaya has reported an 8 per cent increase in total revenue to a record US$1.16bn for 2016, as the continued development of its online casino and sportsbook overcame a 5 per cent decline in poker.

Revenue for the final quarter of last year rose 6 per cent to $310.4m, with online poker representing 70 per cent of the total and online casino and sportsbook 26 per cent for a combined $297.4m. The remaining $12.9m was derived from other B2C revenue including social gaming.
