Toronto-listed Amaya has reported a 10 per cent increase in revenue to US$317.3m for the first quarter of 2017, after seeing a return to growth for its core online poker offering PokerStars.

Amaya, which confirmed that it intends to change its corporate name to The Stars Group, saw online poker revenue rise 1 per cent year-on-year to $218.7m, representing 69 per cent of the company's total quarterly revenue, down from a 75 per cent share a year ago.
