Greek gaming and betting operator Opap has reported a 5 per cent increase in gross gaming revenue to €358.9m for the first quarter of 2017, benefiting from the first contribution from its newly launched video lottery terminals (VLTs).

Opap's strongest performance came from the Lottery segment in Q1 as gross gaming revenue (GGR) climbed 11 per cent to €223.1m due to favourable jackpots for Joker. This offset a 7 per cent decline in sports betting GGR to €95.4m.
