The Stars Group has reported a 21.7 per cent increase in revenue for the third quarter of 2017, aided by the return to growth of its core poker vertical.

Revenue for the third quarter grew to USD$329.4m, with poker recovering after a difficult second quarter to post year-on-year revenue growth of 12.5 per cent to $221.4m, accounting for 67.2 per cent of total revenue in the period.

The company attributed poker's improved performance to the July launch of the Stars Rewards loyalty programme, which has seen participation by approximately 85 per cent of active users and $45m in prize awards since launch.
