London-listed betting and gaming operator Paddy Power Betfair has reported a 13 per cent increase in revenue to £1,745m for the full 2017 year, despite seeing a slowdown in growth from its Online division.

Total sports revenue was up 16 per cent to £1,385m, while revenue from gaming climbed 2 per cent to £360m. The year-on-year revenue growth also included a £39m benefit from the translation of non-UK revenue due to the weakness of sterling in H1 relative to the previous year.

Online revenue increased by 5 per cent to £898m, with sportsbook seeing growth of 8 per cent to £660m following a 7 per cent increase in stakes to £5.63bn.
