Toronto-listed operator The Stars Group has reported a 14 per cent increase in revenue to US$1.31bn for the full 2017 year, with its combined online casino and sportsbook business now contributing nearly a third of the total.

Excluding the impact of year-on-year changes in foreign exchange rates, revenue would have been up 10.5 per cent for the year.

Total expenses rose by 6 per cent to $1.06bn, while a $34.5m gain from the sale of The Stars Group’s stakes in NYX Gaming Group and Jackpotjoy pushed net earnings for the year up 91 per cent to $259.3m.
