Codere posts €34.1m loss as Argentina crisis weighs on first half results

Spanish gaming operator Codere has reported a 7 per cent decrease in revenue to €759.3m for the first half of 2018, with results impacted by the sharp devaluation of Latin American currencies including the Argentinian Peso.

Revenue from Latin America fell by 14 per cent year-on-year to €486.3m, with the company’s core regional market of Argentina seeing revenue decline by 22.5 per cent to €232.6m, alongside further declines in Mexico, Panama, Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil.
