Denmark’s regulated gambling market grew by 11.5 per cent to DKK1,630.3m (€218.6m) in the second quarter of 2018, following strong performances from online casino and sports betting.

Sports betting gross gaming revenue (GGR) increased by 24 per cent year-on-year to DKK648.1m in Q2, benefiting from the start of the FIFA World Cup and the inclusion of horse race betting GGR following the liberalization of the country’s horse, dog and pigeon racing market at the beginning of the year.
