Toronto-listed betting and gaming operator The Stars Group has reported a 55 per cent increase in total revenue to US$637.6m for the second quarter of 2019, benefiting from a record performance from its UK-facing Sky Betting & Gaming business.

Online sports betting was The Stars Group’s largest product vertical in Q2 as revenue soared 182 per cent year-on-year to $228.0m. Gaming revenue was up 93 per cent to $196.9m, overtaking poker revenue for the first time, which fell 10 per cent to $194.2m.
