Louisiana’s licensed sports betting operators collected total wagers of $208.2m in April, with the bulk of the total generated online.
Total wagers fell by 10.5 per cent compared to the previous month, with the state’s fifteen licensed retail sportsbooks contributing $22.0m of the total, a decline of 17 per cent month-on-month.
With a higher win margin of 10.5 per cent, the land-based sportsbooks generated net proceeds of $2.3m in April, delivering $202,726 in taxes to the state.
