Iowa’s licensed sports betting operators collected total wagers of just $1.6m in April after all 19 casinos were closed for the month due to COVID-19.
Total wagers slumped by 91 per cent compared to the previous month’s $19.6m total, with only online sports betting remaining operable during the month with limited sporting events.
