Mobile technology provider JOINGO has sealed a strategic partnership with analytics solutions specialist VizExplorer to launch patronViz, a platform that allows casino operators to develop their own branded free-to-play mobile applications.

The solution also enables players to access a casino's loyalty programme and delivers  personalised offers to them based on their individual preferences, including in-venue marketing that targets players with information and promotions based on where they are in a casino.

JOINGO president Seamus McGill said that with over 60 per cent of the US adult population owning a smartphone, the importance of mobile channels was soaring. With the devices being used more than PCs or TVs, it made sense to target players through their smartphones, he explained.

“Our partnership with VizExplorer is a natural one as we have a well-proven mobile platform and VizExplorer is already the leader in providing a range of super-smart technology to casino operators,” McGill added.

VizExplorer chief technology officer Andrew Cardno said that mobile offerings for land-based operators represented an extension of the physical gaming floor and a new way of promoting player loyalty.

“Players today are becoming increasingly reliant on mobile apps such as banking, GPS navigation, Facebook and games,” he continued. “What’s exciting is that we already have operators who have signed up to buy the mobile app platform.”
