The National Fantasy Football Convention has been forced to cancel its inaugural event in July, which would have featured more than 100 leading football players, after the NFL refused to allow its players to participate in an event taking place in a casino.

The NFCC was announced in March and was set to become one of the largest gatherings of NFL players, with the three-day event presented by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo at The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas from July 10th to 12th.
