Lucky Play Casino, the free-to-play gaming app created by RocketPlay and acquired by AGS in June this year, is to launch its first game featuring branded content from Hostess, maker of the popular Twinkies snack cake.

Twinkie 7’s will feature a range of Hostess’ most popular products alongside the iconic cake such as Ho Hos and Sno Balls, with each acting as a bonus symbol. These will trigger a Triple Wheel Bonus round, allowing players to win even larger virtual currency prizes.

“The launch of Twinkie 7's is an exciting milestone for AGSi and significantly bolsters our growing library of social casino titles,” said Mani Honigstein, formerly CEO of RocketPlay and now general manager AGSi, the supplier’s interactive division.

“Equally exciting is our new partnership with the iconic and beloved Hostess brand, which creates potential for more opportunities in the future. We are confident that Twinkie 7's will not only resonate well with the millennial demographic on social casino channels but also with long-time fans of the classic treats.”

The licensing deal is the first major update to Lucky Play Casino since the acquisition in June. Parent company RocketPlay has since been rebranded as AGSi, with several of AGS’ land-based slot games repurposed for social play on Lucky Play, as well as via the recently-launched iOS app Vegas Fever.

Titles such as Royal Reels, So Hot, Monkey in the Bank and Golden Panda have been added to the iOS version of the Lucky Play app since the acquisition.

“Having land-based game content available on social platforms is essential for building brand awareness and enables us to offer tried-and-true games with proven math models,” Honigstein said. “Games like Royal Reels and So Hot have been successful on live casino floors for a long time.

“That success has translated well in the social space, where our mobile users enjoy the same dynamics that made the land-based games so popular.”

The company will look to launch Android versions of the repurposed land-based titles in the near future, as well as working on the development of Vegas Fever for Android devices.
