Playtech has licensed some of DC Comics’ most iconic characters including Batman, Superman and Green Lantern through a new multi-year deal with Warner Brothers Consumer Products.

The agreement will see Playtech launch games based the classic 1960s Batman television series, the Superman I and II films starring the late Christopher Reeve, the 2011 film Green Lantern, and the Christopher Nolan-produced Superman reboot Man of Steel.

The omni-channel games are to be rolled out this year, with all of Playtech’s global content studios engaged to work on, design, develop and deploy games based on the intellectual property.

The roll-out will be supported by the supplier’s Playtech ONE omni-channel solution, as well as its IMS player management platform and data-driven business intelligence technology.

“Playtech’s best performing in-house and premium branded casino slot content will be further strengthened through our partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and the launch of the DC Comics branded games,” Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer said.

“Our licensees will benefit from the best omni-channel gaming content the market has to offer.

“We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and are all very excited to see the outcome of the DC Comics-themed games when they are delivered later this year,” he added.
