Greek virtual sports content provider Vermantia is claiming a first with the launch of virtual games in the Brazilian market through a partnership with INTRALOT subsidiary INTRALOT Minas Gerais.

The roll-out sees INTRALOT Minas Gerais, operator of the state lottery Lotteria Mineira, gains access to the Vermantia's CONNECT solution and a portfolio of more than 14 virtual sports titles.

These will be delivered across the state lottery’s retail network of more than 400 shops. Content from Vermantia’s partners including Kiron Interactive and VSoft will go live alongside the supplier’s proprietary games, with the initial roll-out including VSoft’s Virtual Football and Fluid Games’ Virtual Motor Racing Max Car.

INTRALOT Minas Gerais chairman Sergio Alvarenga said he was excited to launch the supplier’s ”best-of-breed” virtual games portfolio.

“We needed to open up the Virtual Gaming sector with content of the highest quality and variety, while having an in-depth understanding of the players’ needs in our local gaming market,” he explained. “We firmly believe that the launch of Vermantia’s virtual games will lead to the enhancement of Brazilian players’ betting experience and pave the way for incremental revenue increase.”

“Our entry in the Brazilian gaming market proves Vermantia’s continuous effort and evolvement within the last 2 years,” Vermantia chief executive Filippos Antonopoulos said. “We choose to follow the path of customized solutions, always adaptable to our clients’ needs.

“We are excited to become the first company introducing virtual games to a retail market of [an estimated] €2.4bn as the one of Brazil,” he continued.

“Our virtual games are already live in selected points of sales of Lotteria Mineira with impressive results, which make us confident for the total roll-out in 400 shops, while adding to our global reach of omni-channel, virtual sports delivery.”
