UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has joined forces with the Daily Mirror, offering the UK tabloid newspaper’s fantasy football customers the chance to compete in a mini-league for over £10,000 worth of free bet prizes.

Players of the free Mirror Fantasy iTeam app will be able to compete for the £1,000 free bet grand prize by joining the Ladbrokes Free Bets League via mobile.

The best managers will also go head-to-head for ten monthly prizes of £400 and 38 weekly prizes of £200 throughout the season.

"We're excited to be working with Mirror Fantasy iTeam for the season ahead,”said Ladbrokes PR officer Alex Donohue. “After a captivating year culminating in 5000/1 shots Leicester City winning the title, all eyes will be on the Premier League and we're proud to support one of the world's biggest fantasy football communities.”

The Fantasy iTeam app has more than 1.2m users and features real-time transfers, a live newsfeed, as well as instant scores and squad news.

Phil Shaw, commercial director of Fantasy iTeam, said the company was “thrilled” to be working alongside Ladbrokes ahead of the new Premier League season.

“Their generous prize pool will give users that extra reason to download the app and show they can create the best iTeam. The 2015/16 season was one of the most unpredictable and historic ever and there’s a real buzz ahead of the new campaign.”

Mark O’Donnell, head of betting and gaming for Trinity Mirror Solutions, added: "We've just seen a fantastic Euro 2016 – England aside – but for the Mirror, the football never stops.

“We're already focusing on the new Premier League season and we're thrilled to have Ladbrokes as our partners. With their huge shop network, we can now take the game to an even bigger audience.”
