Inspired Gaming has launched its portfolio of virtual sports in the UK and Ireland with Bookmakers Technology Consortium (BTC), a coalition of independent sports betting operators.

Under the agreement virtuals will be streamed across two channels. The first will display mixed events including horses, greyhounds, cycling and motor racing, with a second focused on bingo.

Chisholm Bookmakers, Jenningsbet and Wilf Gilbert will be the first to roll out Inspired’s Virtual Sports, with more BTC operators and venues to follow.

Steve Rogers, chief commercial officer of digital games at Inspired, commented: "I'm delighted that we can add BTC to the distinguished list of customers that Inspired supplies its Virtual Sports to.

"I have no doubt that they will prove immensely popular with players, and I look forward to the opportunity to roll out to more BTC operators in the near future."

Incorporated in 2008, BTC is a non-profit consortium which aims to enable independently-owned operators to gain access to the industry's best new technology to drive growth.

"This deal is a great opportunity for BTC to supply our members with fantastic content that we’re confident punters will love," BTC director Howard Chisholm said.

"There is a real demand for virtual games and sports content from customers and Inspired’s Virtual Sports really are the best in the business.

"I'm delighted that we can now add them to the BTC portfolio of services to independent bookmakers."
