This week's industry games releases include titles from the likes of Microgaming, Genesis Gaming, and Yggdrasil, as well as a new platform integration for California-based studio Monarc.
Cherry’s game development studio Yggdrasil Gaming is flying to the rescue with the launch of its latest slot Super Heroes.
The 5x3 game takes place in an apocalyptic setting where alien overlords are attempting to take over the world, and the reels. Six unique super heroes – each holding a special super power including wild reels, mystery wins and win multipliers – can appear at random during any spin.
When the feature is triggered, two of the heroes appear on each side of the screen to boost winnings. During free spins, heroes are triggered on every spin, with their super powers growing stronger each time.
As part of the launch, Yggdrasil has commissioned a special comic book that tells the story of the heroes and outlines their special powers.
The operator will also host a €25,000 network tournament between October 28th and November 6th featuring an in-game leaderboard, in-play raffle and re-watch tools.
“The idea behind Super Heroes was to create a blockbuster slots title with graphics and animations that really make the player feel they are a part of the game,” said Jonas Strandman, head of gaming at Yggdrasil. “We are rolling out the red carpet for this launch, with a special comic book and network campaign tournament that will get players as excited about this new slot as we are.”
The casino games developer has added to its content portfolio with the release of a third zombie-themed slot game, Attack of the Zombies.
Set in old London town, the 50 line slot features zombies wreaking havoc, eating brains and stealing treasures from their victims.
Players must find the zombie’s stolen treasure without getting bitten, and reach the antidote and the zombie huntresses before time runs out. If the huntresses are overwhelmed by the zombie horde they can turn into zombies, triggering the antidote free spins feature that awards free spins until all four huntresses are cured.
“We are terrifically excited about this game,” said James Watson, director of European sales. “Halloween is next week and celebrations are already happening so there really wasn’t a better time to release Attack of the Zombies, our third zombie-themed title after Alaxe in Zombieland and Machine Gun Unicorn.”
The Isle of Man-based gaming supplier has unveiled its latest slot title Dragonz, which will go live with operator partners next week.
Developed for desktop and mobile, Dragonz offers 243 ways to win with scatters, multipliers, bonuses and expanding wilds with four different free spins rounds.
Four Dragonz characters - Flint, Switch, Frost and Gobble - take players on an adventure through 3D animated landscapes in search of treasure.
Each character can shape the game in a different way generating Flaming Wilds, Frozen Wilds, Winning Wilds and Stashed Wilds with each spin.
Once the free spins bonus has been triggered 12 times, players can choose which free spins feature to play. When a non-winning wild lands on the third reel, the Wild Deal randomly distributes extra wilds to award a guaranteed win.
“Dragonz brings a whole new level of entertainment to gameplay,” said Neill Whyte, commercial director at Microgaming. “Our customers can expect outstanding animation as well as imaginative, all-new free spins features that keep the player engaged. We have eagerly awaited the launch of this slot and anticipate that it will be a firm favourite with players.”
Monarc Games/Spin Games
iGaming software developer Spin Games has signed a content integration and technology agreement with California-based games studio Monarc Gaming Labs.
The deal will see games from Monarc Gaming integrated onto Spin Games’ HTML5 remote gaming server the Robust Online Client (ROC), for distribution to customers across North America and Europe.
Following the integration, Spin Games’ operator partners will have access to Monarc Gaming’s play-for-fun, social and real-money slot titles on mobile and desktop devices.
Monarc becomes the latest supplier to integrate its content on the ROC platform, joining the likes of Konami, Everi, Bally, Nektan, Inspired, NYX Gaming and Greentube.
Monarc Gaming’s chief operating officer Steven Slotwinski said he was excited about the added growth opportunity this offers his company.
“Monarc Gaming Labs has been rapidly expanding its social mobile casino gaming portfolio worldwide,” he explained. “By partnering with Spin Games, Monarc Gaming Labs will be providing its high-quality slot content to iGaming markets using Spin Games premier RGS delivery system.”
