Playtech is continuing to expand its live casino portfolio with the launch of a new baccarat title in its Prestige series of games.

Prestige Baccarat is the second title to be added to the new range after Prestige Roulette went live in November last year, offering high quality gameplay and five different camera angles for a more dynamic experience.

The supplier said the game has been given "a modern day makeover" with the range of viewing angles, coupled with replays of winning hands, both of which are designed to bring players as close to the action as possible.

Games are streamed from a newly-designed environment featuring a custom-designed table and backdrop featuring the Chinese symbol for luck.

Prestige Baccarat also allows users to play in portrait or landscape mode on smartphones and tablets, a feature first rolled out with the supplier's HTML5 Roulette product earlier this month.

"A great deal of research, development and close co-operation with licensees has gone into what we are confident is the best live baccarat product on the market," head of innovation for Playtech's live dealer division Kevin Kilminster said.

"The newly refined live game contains the classic squeeze variations as well as the squeeze logic associated with one of the most popular casino games in the world," he explained. "The feedback has been very positive so far and we’re sure it will go from strength-to-strength."

Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad added that the launch of the latest product in the Prestige range marks the beginning of a very exciting journey, taking live casino "to an entirely new level of product capability, performance and personalisation".
