With Christmas just round the corner, there have been a host of new slots released this week from the likes of NetEnt, Microgaming, Lightning Box Games, Habanero, iSoftBet, and Genesis Gaming, as well as a new content integration deal for Yggdrasil Gaming.
Getting into the festive spirit, Swedish casino games developer NetEnt has released its Secrets of Christmas slot game.
The 5-reel, 3-row, 25-line video slot features stockings, gingerbread houses, and snow, capturing the feel-good elements of Christmas.
Players can unpack gifts from under the Christmas tree to find the Free Spins Bonus, before settling down next to the fireplace to play Free Spins and listen to a medley of classic holiday tunes.
“Christmas is just around the corner, so it’s time for players to get in the mood for the festive period with Secrets of Christmas,” said NetEnt’s chief product officer Simon Hammon. “With high quality gameplay, a slick user interface and a huge helping of NetEnt creativity, we’re sure our latest release will bring the Christmas cheer.”
Lightning Box Games
Sydney-based developer Lightning Box Games has launched its Silver Lion slot game exclusively with operator LeoVegas.com, before a wider roll-out next week.
The 5x4-reel, 1024 ways slot takes players on safari across the sweeping plains of the African Savannah in search of the mythical Silver Lion.
Along the way players encounter zebras, hippos, meerkats and spear-rattling tribesmen, but when the Silver Lion appears through the undergrowth, players can expect bonus rounds and huge wins.
“Silver Lion is a beautiful game offering players big prizes by multiplying their stacked wins by up to 27 times,” said Lightning Box managing director and co-founder Peter Causley. “The math model behind the game ensures players are engaged and entertained in equal measure.
“It is a great addition to our growing portfolio, and is the result of months of hard work from everyone here at Lightning Box. We are sure players on LeoVegas will enjoy playing the game as much as we did making it.”
Karolina Pelc, head of casino at LeoVegas, said: “We’re very pleased to once again deliver on LeoVegas’ promise of being the first with the latest. We’re confident that Silver Lion will be one of those popular games with all our players.”
Microgaming has launched its new Tarzan slot, based on the fictional character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
Now live with Microgaming and Quickfire operators, the 40-line slot game developed through a licensing agreement with Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc. takes players deep into the tropical jungle.
Tarzan hosts the game and celebrates player victories with his trademark athletics and vine swinging. He marks big wins by performing somersaults, while any five-of-a-kind unleashes Tarzan’s unmistakable jungle yell as he beats his chest ferociously.
“Tarzan is a visually bold and highly entertaining slot that celebrates the playful nature of this larger-than-life character,” said Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming. “We’ve had a blast working with such an experienced licensor to bring this iconic brand to the online gaming world, and I think it shows. 2016 has been a busy year for us and there isn’t a better way to end it than with a classic branded title.”
In the game, three or more scatters trigger the Bonus Wheel. Tarzan spins the wheel to award one of four guaranteed prizes - a jackpot, free spins, Pick-a-Potamus bonus or cash multipliers.
Free spins take wins to new heights with Rolling Reels, allowing more symbols to drop onto the reels. Rolling Reels also combine with Growing Wilds to increase a player’s winning potential.
“Microgaming has certainly captured the timeless charm of Tarzan in their online slot,” says James Sullos, president of Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc. “We’re pleased that the game remains faithful to this very special character, who continues to appeal to a diverse worldwide audience. We enjoyed working with Microgaming and we’re excited to see the game launch today into the online arena.”
Genesis Gaming has released its latest title SuperWilds, which has been made available to operators via Microgaming’s Quickfire platform.
The 5 reel, 25 line game features Scatter Wild combinations that trigger multiple free spin variations, and introduces a number of lycra-clad superheroes.
Expando-Man, The Tripler, The Spin Twins and others have banded together to keep the world safe and help the average citizen in need, the supplier explained.
Trigger the Expando Man free spins and players are rewarded with expanding wilds, trigger the The Tripler and he will multiply all winnings by three. Finally, hit The Spin Twins and players are awarded five extra free spins. When multiple superhero Scatter Wilds hit they combine and each will bring its special power to the party.
“This is a fun and lively game” said James Watson, director of European sales and new product discovery at Genesis Gaming. “We’ve broken with the norm a little releasing a futuristic, super hero themed game during the holiday season, however, SuperWilds will thrill and excite players with its gameplay and unique Scatter Wild feature trigger variations and give them a break from mince pies and re-runs of Home Alone.”
Casino content provider Habanero has launched Fenghuang, a new slot featuring Chinese cultural symbols that takes players on a journey through an ancient temple.
The game features various creatures on its reels, starting with a bird and dragon that move across the wheels towards each other before colliding to create a 2x3 blocked wild symbol. Other creatures then appear during the game's free spins round, each offering players additional chances to further increase the jackpot.
The fixed 28-line game has been developed in HTML5, making it available across any device.
It is Habanero's second Asian-themed title to launch in recent months, following the release of 12 Zodiacs in May. The supplier now has 70 slots live alongside 10 table games and 10 video poker titles. Its content is integrated directly with more than 25 operators, and is available in 21 languages.
Habanero head of sales Daniel Long said that the title's engaging gameplay, coupled with the game’s low volatility, will make it particularly attractive to players.
"We are really thrilled to be launching Fenghuang, which we believe our operator partners and players alike will love," Long said. "It's a visually stunning game, coupled with an authentic and atmospheric soundtrack to boot.
"We wanted to create a theme based around Asian culture and history, and present it in a fun and engaging way. Operators are demanding more quality content, so this slot should prove successful in markets far and wide."
Alderney-licensed games developer iSoftBet is offering players a retro gaming experience with the launch of its latest slot Cherry Trio.
Cherry Trio is a three-reel, five-line game for desktop and mobile devices, and includes a range of features such as respins, stacked wild reels and a 1,000-coin jackpot.
It has been designed to mimic traditional Las Vegas-style slot games and features classic symbols on the reels, with iSoftBet managing director Nir Elbaz describing it as "a fantastic addition" to his company's gaming portfolio.
"A classic five-line mechanical slot with some modern twists, the game offers the best of both worlds," Elbaz said. "We have added 'old-school' symbols - the traditional Bars, 7's and Wilds along with an exciting Respin feature, which will keep players engaged for longer.
"As the name suggests, the cherry is where the main action is and a full screen of stacked cherries will reward the player with a healthy 1,000-coins jackpot."
Cherry subsidiary Yggdrasil Gaming has signed a deal to provide platform provider Tain with its portfolio of video slot games.
Yggdrasil will integrate its HTML5 games with the Tain platform, which already offers its partners more than 2,000 titles from third-party suppliers.
Tain will also gain access to Yggdrasil’s collection of in-game promotional tools including BOOST, the recently-launched Missions feature, as well as the social sharing tool BRAG.
“We are delighted to have reached a deal with Tain to add our games to their already bursting portfolio,” said Fredrik Elmqvist, CEO of Yggdrasil Gaming. “We believe our titles will be a big hit with their white label and turnkey partners, and will be enjoyed by their players.
“Tain has been plying its trade in the iGaming sector since the first casinos appeared online, so it is great to be able to work with such an experienced and knowledgeable company. We are excited to see what the new owners will do to further develop this venture.”
Mathias Larsson, managing director of Tain, added: “Yggdrasil continue to design and develop mind-blowing games that are very much best-in-class and we have wanted to be able to offer them to our players for some time now. It’s great to have reached a deal, and we look forward to seeing how our partners respond.”
