London-listed gaming technology and services supplier Playtech has opened a new live casino studio in Romania in order to meet demand from licensees in the regulated iGaming market.

Based in Bucharest, the state-of-the-art facility will offer operators a wide range of new and classic game variants including live blackjack, roulette and casino hold’em, which will be streamed in HD for mobile and desktop devices.

It adds to Playtech’s existing large-scale live casino facilities in Spain, Belgium, Latvia and the Philippines, and features native dealers to cater to local audiences.

“The opening of the new studio further solidifies Playtech’s position as the market leader in global, cutting-edge, regulated live casino,” said Playtech CEO Mor Weizer.

“This is just the beginning of our growth plans with a series of exciting new products and variants in our 2017 live casino roadmap as well as significant expansion plans for our other facilities.”
