Yggdrasil Gaming will launch its games in the Italian market for the first time through a new partnership with GVC Holdings' bwin brand.

The supplier will integrate a selection of its video slots with the Italian-facing bwin.it and Gioco Digitale sites.

Eleven of Yggdrasil's games will initially be certified under Italian regulations including Bicicleta, Vikings Go Wild and Seasons. The games are expected to go live early in the second quarter of the year, with bwin.it also launching the Dark Joker Rizes and Nirvana titles.

As part of the deal, the operators will gain access to Yggdrasil's BOOST in-game promotional tools, including the recently-launched Missions feature, as well as its social sharing tool BRAG.

"We are thrilled to have joined forces with an operator as big and as respected as GVC to enter the Italian market," said Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist. "We will provide GVC's Italian operations with a premium gaming platform to initially offer eleven certified games with a view to providing many more as the partnership develops.

"We have grown our footprint across Europe this past year. This is the latest in a long line of big deals, and shows the progress we are making and just how desirable our games and in-game promotional tools have become."

"Our mission is to offer our players the widest possible range of quality games. Yggdrasil titles have taken the market by storm and it is a great step for us to be able integrate this first-rate content into our Italian offer," GVC chief product officer Liron Snir added.

"What's more, their in-game promotional tools are genuinely innovative, particularly the BRAG feature which was a real draw for us."
