Canadian provincial lottery operator Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has launched a new horse-themed slot game from IGT on its real-money iGaming website

Champion Raceway is a classic 3-reel slot game which sees five champion race horses advance down the track each time their ribbon appears on the reels. The winning horse awards either a jackpot or a chance for multiplied free spins in the Victory Lap Bonus.

The operator said that the game would help build excitement and expand awareness about horse racing in Ontario.

“Champion Raceway is the third horse-themed product OLG has released in the last two years,” said OLG’s senior vice president of horse racing Cal Bricker. “It further demonstrates our commitment to support the industry by increasing awareness of horse racing in Ontario.”

Champion Raceway is available to players registered on and has a jackpot of nearly CAD$4m.

Contagious Gaming

Toronto-listed Contagious Gaming has secured an agreement to develop a new match 3-style casino game based on its existing Timeless Gems title.

The development and licensing deal has been signed with an unnamed video game distributor, with Timeless Gems to be modified for casino game play.

Contagious will be paid a development fee to produce the game and royalty fees on a revenue share basis once the game is launched.

Timeless Lotto will feature board game elements in which players embark on an epic adventure to collect as many items that spawn on the game board in a set number of moves by matching 3 or more identical gem pieces.

The player will earn money by completing matches and collecting items, and the more they collect, the more they win.

"This contract allows us to leverage an existing game property and represents an endorsement of the quality of the content produced by Contagious Gaming,” said CEO and director Peter Glancy. “It is our intention to continue to leverage this and other game properties into additional markets, supporting our position as a leading developer of mobile and online gaming applications."

Magnet Gaming

Danish slots developer Magnet Gaming has launched a new under-water themed game, Fish Tank.

The game takes players into warm tropical waters on the hunt for three bonus rounds - Algae Attack, Bubble Buster and Feeding Frenzy - giving players the chance to land each of two big progressive jackpots from small stakes.

The supplier said that the game gives users a better than ever HTML5 experience with crystal clear real time visual effects through WebGL (Web Graphics Library), a JavaScript API for rendering interactive 3D and 2D graphics within any compatible web browser without the use of plug-ins.

“Magnet are pushing the boundaries when it comes to HTML5 slots and Fish Tank is sure to leave players hooked,” said Thomas Nielsen, head of game licensing at Magnet Gaming. “New WebGL technologies means Fish Tank is our most immersive title to date and we are sure players and operators alike will love the thrills and spills of our latest release.”

Online instant win games developer IWG has launched three new Mayan-themed games.

Inviting players to travel to the heart of the Mayan Empire, the supplier has released Mayan Bonus, Mayan Treasures and Mayan Legends for its operator partners.

In Mayan Bonus, players aim to find hidden treasure by matching Mayan artefacts to reveal a prize and collect a golden ball. Each golden ball collected remains between games and when nine are collected it unlocks the Mayan-themed Spin a Wheel bonus game with guaranteed cash prizes up to £250.

The Mayan Treasures game uses the popular dice roll mechanic to explode Mayan artefacts in the Treasure Zone, releasing free spins and prizes of up to £250,000.

In Mayan Legends, the game symbols represent coloured monuments known as Legends from the ancient Mayan civilisation. Players roll the dice and explode Legends of that colour and win up to £400,000.

The games have been launched alongside a £5k Mayan May Madness prize draw network promotion.

“Mayan-themed games are entertaining and hugely popular with players, so we’re really excited to be launching these visually appealing games to both the lottery and commercial sectors,” said IWG’s chief commercial officer Leon Thomas. “Mayan Bonus’ innovative ‘collect and remain’ feature is a new loyalty feature that we are sure will be a big hit with players all over the world.

“The instant win vertical is growing rapidly and we have some innovative products that we will be launching with a number of leading operators over the coming weeks and months. They have seen the value that our games bring to their portfolio of lottery, bingo and casino products.”

Kalamba is the latest to join the supplier’s platform, alongside the likes of Gamomat, Gold Club, and 2By2 among others.

“Kalamba has a team of highly respected content experts and this deal represents an excellent opportunity for both parties to strengthen their position primarily in the Scandinavian and UK markets,” said Oryx Gaming CEO Matevz Mazij. “Kalamba’s content offers an extra layer of engagement and unique reel layout with rich graphics.

“The volatility profile of Kalamba’s games combined with the mission mechanic offers operators an excellent opportunity to ramp up their retention and reactivation promotions.

Kalamba Games CEO Steve Cutler added: “Being a new games provider, we needed to find a distribution partner that could accommodate our needs, as well as having the flexibility to ensure we can deliver the functionality required.
