Virtual sports specialist Kiron Interactive has been selected to supply its products to Finnish state-owned gaming operator Veikkaus.

Having been selected following a public tender process, Kiron will roll out its portfolio of 17 virtual sports games to the operator, including its exclusive winter-themed games Hockey Shots and Speed Skating.

The games will be launched across Veikkaus' land-based operations in Finland, as well as its online sportsbook offering via Veikkaus.fi.

"We are always looking to expand our operations in regulated markets, and that’s exactly what we have done once again with Veikkaus," Kiron chief executive Steven Spartinos said.

"This deal marks yet another step forward for Kiron Interactive and we are very eager to get started as we know our varied portfolio of games will prove popular in Finland – especially our winter titles."

"Veikkaus is always looking to increase value for customers," said Timo Kiiskinen, senior vice president of information and communications technology for the operator. "We have analysed the market well and Kiron Interactive provides us with the best possible content for Finnish customers.

"Kiron's tailored content, is sure to prove a big hit with our players as we look to offer them something fresh, new and of the highest quality."
