New York-listed gaming supplier Inspired Entertainment has entered into a strategic partnership to launch content from Novomatic across Opap’s video lottery terminals (VLTs) in Greece.

The partnership marks the first time that Inspired has deployed another supplier's games on its VLTs.

Novomatic titles including Book of Ra Deluxe, Dolphin's Pearl Deluxe, Sizzling Hot Deluxe and Lucky Lady's Charm Deluxe have gone live via Inspired's Core Connect platform, following certification by the Hellenic Gaming Commission.

"I'm delighted to announce Inspired's strategic partnership with Novomatic," said Inspired president and chief executive Luke Alvarez. "This is the first agreement of its kind which combines content and platform providers to deliver a premium customer experience.

“Inspired's performance to date in Greece exemplifies our business' ability to deliver globally, and we anticipate that the addition of this premium Novomatic content onto the Inspired platform will only add to this success."

Novomatic chief technology officer Thomas Graf commented: "Novomatic is excited to be a part of this landmark deal, which will deliver a unique and compelling product combination to the Greek market.

"We look forward to further expanding our portfolio of available games with Inspired and to a successful business relationship with Inspired and Opap.”

Opap chief executive Damian Cope added that the roll-out is in line with the operator’s strategic priority of building a world class portfolio of products and services.

“We are delighted to be delivering new premium content from Novomatic to our VLT customers via Inspired's open platform technology," he said. “We look forward to adding even more content in the future in order to be able to offer our customers in Greece a wide range of entertaining gaming content."

Inspired has supplied 3,960 cabinets to OPAP, with over 2,200 currently deployed in OPAP's VLT estate. The company also announced a deal Wednesday to supply a further 1,400 cabinets to OPAP in Greece during Q1 2018, taking the total number of Inspired machines to 5,360.
