Playtech has repurposed its top-performing online bingo slot game Clover Rollover for retail play, rolling out the game across 128 Gala Bingo clubs across the United Kingdom.
The launch will be the first of a series of popular online games to be launched for the land-based sector, as part of the supplier's omni-channel strategy to offer players the same games across all channels.
Clover Rollover is a five-reel, five-payline, Irish-themed slot, that has shown to be particularly popular among online bingo players, and has become Playtech's most popular bingo slot over the past decade.
It has been redeveloped as a retail slot with the supplier's Playtech Bingo, Psiclone Games and ECM Systems divisions all working together on the project.
Both Category B3 and Category C variants of the game have been created to cater to different licensees' requirements, with the initial roll-out in Gala Bingo clubs said to have been successful.
"We are delighted to announce the launch one of our most popular and iconic online bingo slots into Gala Bingo's retail estate, as part of our continued commitment to seamless Omni-channel gaming," Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad said.
"This is just the beginning. Clover Rollover is the first online bingo title to migrate to retail and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Playtech bingo and one that we are certain will be hugely popular with our licensees and their players."
Shares in Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC) were trading up marginally by 0.22 per cent at 808.60 pence per share in London Tuesday.
