This week has seen new games released by Pragmatic Play, Nolimit City, SG Digital, Play’n GO, Betsoft Gaming and Betdigital, alongside deployments by the likes of Tom Horn Gaming, 1X2 Network and Pariplay.
Malta-based games supplier Pragmatic Play is entering the realm of the Norse gods with the launch of its newest slot Asgard.
Situated in the home of the famous Viking deities, the 3x5 video slot puts players in the middle of a tense stand-off between Aesir and Vanir, the two schools of gods.
At any time the gods can add a twist to the spinning reels. Thor can bring his might to bear, turning royal symbols into wilds with a crack of lightning, while Loki can use his mysterious powers to replace a symbol at random. The gods can also grant their blessings on players to trigger multiple spins, with three or more Valkyrie helmets triggering the free spins feature.
“Adding Asgard to our leading suite of games gives players another exciting game world to enjoy, packed with engaging mechanics and exciting bonuses,” said Pragmatic Play chief commercial officer Melissa Summerfield. “The game’s features add to the immersion, while the game’s story-driven nature provides an extra element to keep players coming back.”
Casino games developer 1X2 Network has been approved to launch its content in the regulated Colombian iGaming market.
The first game to be made available to operators will be Diamond Roulette, developed by the supplier’s 1X2gaming studio. This will be followed by other titles from 1X2gaming and leading titles from Iron Dog Studio, such as Neon Jungle and Wai-Kiki.
“The Colombian gaming market has always been an attractive business opportunity for 1X2 Network and we are very happy to be able to continue our international growth into this market,” said Kevin Reid, chief commercial officer at 1X2 Network.
“This is the first addition in an international effort which is taking place within our organization and we will continue to expand into more regulated markets around the world. We look forward to giving Colombian operators and players a chance to experience our innovative and exciting content.”
Scientific Games’ SG Digital division has launched two new slots this week, Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold and Volts & Bolts.
Developed by the supplier’s Barcrest studio, Rainbow Riches Drops of Gold brings everyone’s favorite leprechaun back to the slot world. The game features a unique double reel-set with loads of wilds and bonus symbols in the top reels that fall onto the bottom base game reel-set, offering big win opportunities.
From SG Digital’s Shuffle Master studio, Volts & Bolts electrifies with new bonus-in-bonus opportunities, a lock it link style bonus, mad scientist free games, and a chance at winning one of four jackpots.
“Rainbow Riches is a hugely successful brand for us, and we’re thrilled to launch this new installment,” said Tom Wood, chief creative officer at SG Digital. “Volts & Bolts, a newcomer, brings a more playful and electric experience to our portfolio.”
The launches coincide the 50th anniversary of Barcrest, which has grown from a business with just two employees in 1968 to a global content brand now owned by Scientific Games.
“A 50th anniversary is an impressive milestone for any brand, and we’re extremely proud that even as a global name, the business still operates in the Manchester area, less than five miles from where it all began,” said Phil Horne, CEO of SG Gaming. “What’s more, with over 200 original Barcrest employees within our dedicated workforce from departments across the business including content, finance, warehouse and systems, the Barcrest values are also still very much at the heart of the business.
“The team’s hard work, values and passion are the reasons that Barcrest is still a leading content innovator and well-loved brand after all these years," Horne added. "Many of our operators and their players will have fond memories of the games released over the years and we are proud that the Barcrest brand continues to be integral to SG Gaming UK and the wider Scientific Games group. We look forward to marking this achievement, and hope for another 50 years of success to follow.”
Casino games developer Pariplay has entered the regulated Italian iGaming market for the first time through a partnership with Betsson-owned casino brand StarCasinò.it.
Already active in markets such as the UK, Germany, Scandinavia and Belgium, Pariplay said that its focus this year is to expand its presence in the Western European region, with its entry into the Italian market forming an integral part of its broader European strategy.
Pariplay’s milestone move follows the integration of a range of branded and original casino content with StarCasinò, with its Atari Asteroids, Atari Star Raiders, Valiant Entertainment’s Bloodshot, and Sharknado games among the initial slots made available.
Additional Pariplay casino titles will integrate with StarCasinò over the remainder of 2018, including video slots such as Chitty Bang, Wild Cherry, Chang’e – Goddess of the Moon, and Jack in the Box.
“Europe is an important market focus for us,” said Richard Mintz, commercial and marketing director at Pariplay. “We’re therefore very excited for our games to be available for the first time in Italy, one of the region’s core jurisdictions. Our partnership with leading Italian online casino brand StarCasinò marks a milestone for us as a company, and a first step in establishing our content’s presence among Italian players.”
StarCasinò casino manager Fabio Denegri added: “Italian online casino players enjoy very sophisticated games with cutting-edge features and functionality. Given the high quality of Pariplay’s video slots, we feel that their content is the perfect fit for our current customers and new players as we grow our brand. We look forward to building an enduring long-term partnership with Pariplay in the Italian market.”
Stockholm-based games developer Nolimit City has expanded its portfolio with the launch of its first Asian-themed slot game Coins of Fortune.
Coins of Fortune borrows from a Neon-futuristic Asian theme, taking players to the high paced, bustling cities of Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai.
The five by three-reel, 20 line slot offers players frequent and rapid features, including the tree stacked symbol Dragon Nudge and the walking wild feature Lucky Respins, which can give up to a x10 multiplier on wins.
“Coins of Fortune incorporates classic Asian lore into a futuristic environment for a mysterious exciting ambience,” said Nolimit City product owner Per Lindheimer. “With frequent, rapid features with neon backlight and colourful visuals it will keep the players on their toes. Unlimited retriggers and a x10 win multiplier will get players ready for a chase.”
SG Digital’s Betdigital studio has announced the launch of its latest two slot titles, Ambassador and Big Spinner
Ambassador is a one-line, four reel game based on the classic 1980s slot machines of Europe. It features the Ambassador Wheel, where a x1000 prize is on offer alongside the Fruit Pot progressive feature.
The supplier has also rolled out its Big Spinner slot, following the success of its Joker 10000 and Joker 10000 Deluxe titles. Instead of mystery winners, Big Spinner has a bonus wheel where players can get either 1, 2 or 3 spins when the Wheel symbols are revealed.
"Ambassador and Big Spinner will be a welcome addition to any operators’ games portfolio,” said Heath Samples, CEO of Betdigital. “Each title has all the classic features loved by slots players, but with fresh innovative features to ensure maximum player engagement and results.”
Casino games developer Betsoft Gaming is taking players to Ancient Greece with its latest slot, The Golden Owl of Athena.
Set in Athens at the height of the age of antiquity, the 5x3, story-focused slot game takes players on a guided tour of Greek mythology.
When players arrive in ancient Athens, the golden owl becomes their guide, leading the way to every bonus feature the game contains. Although other symbols like the ornate Grecian urn, spear, and hoplite helmet are high-paying, the golden owl alone holds the keys to the biggest wins. The owl is wild, substituting for any other symbol in winning lines, and wherever it appears on the reels, it will help steer players in the direction of significant scatter wins.
“With The Golden Owl of Athena, we wanted to set a game in an under-served period of history and myth, and to build several rewarding slot mechanics around a single symbol,” said Betsoft head of product development Dan Cooper.
“In the story of Athena and her namesake city, we saw a chance to create an experience with real personality, where a standout character could serve as the key to a series of features, and the guide to both a rich setting and a clear paytable. We believe players will love the game’s atmosphere, and that focusing on the golden owl will encourage everyone to explore its full suite of features.”
