Swedish slot specialist NetEnt has rolled out a new title based on the smash-hit franchise Jumanji, with the game based on the 1995 film starring Robin Williams.
The new game transforms the calamities that befall Alan Parrish into features with slot mechanics, with the five-reel video slot offering four random features - a Board Game with four different free spins, a mystery feature, coins wins, and extra dice rolls.
NetEnt described Jumanji as the first of its kind and a new innovation in video slots, as the game merges both board game and video slot game elements together.
Special features include Wild Stampede, where rhinos run across the screen adding four to nine wilds, and Monkey Mayhem, where potential wins are awarded when the reels stop spinning, before shuffling all symbols randomly for a guaranteed win.
The game also features Monsoon Wilds, where one or two reels will be completely covered in wilds while the reels spin, as well as Sticky Vines, where all symbols that are a part of a win and all wilds from the initial spin stick to the reels and all other symbols spin again.
"The Jumanji movie was a great success and we know it has fans all over the world," NetEnt chief product officer Henrik Fagerlund commented. "Making a slot game true to the fantastic features of the movie has been challenging but most of all great fun.
"We found a way of incorporating both board game features and all the excitement into a slot game and the game has already been well received by players."
