SG Social, the social gaming division of New York-listed supplier Scientific Games, has launched Monopoly Slots as a new social casino app.

Monopoly Slots is the latest title launched by Scientific Games under an ongoing partnership with brand owner Hasbro, bringing a story-driven adventure to traditional slot play.

The app is available for download from the leading app stores and offers players the chance to earn Monopoly bucks by playing slots and then build their own Monopoly-themed worlds. The Monopoly-themed adventure sees players construct a train station, put on a concert, discover buried treasure, and complete various missions. It also allows players to travel beyond the Monopoly board into new worlds such as Ancient Greece, each offering a range of themed slots.

Alongside the Monopoly-branded titles, the app also features slots based on other board game brands owned by Hasbro, such as Battleship, Clue, Ouija and Yahtzee.

Hasbro senior vice president of digital gaming and corporate development Mark Blecher said the launch offered a new way to engage with the Monopoly brand.

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ:SGMS) closed down 0.60 per cent at $50.00 per share in New York Wednesday.
