London-listed gaming solutions provider Playtech has launched a new dedicated live casino offering for its long-term client Betfred.

The bespoke live dealer facility, hosted at Playtech's studio in the Latvian capital Riga, features both live roulette and blackjack tables operated by dealers in specially-designed uniforms.

"With our new bespoke live casino studio, we wanted to create something really special for our players, and we're confident that the finished product will exceed their expectations," Betfred managing director Rakesh Chablani said. "This is a major achievement that we believe will be a game changer for our live casino product."

The live dealer studio is the latest advance in a long-running collaboration between Betfred and Playtech, which have worked together for more than a decade.

"Betfred has been a key partner for us for over ten years, and we're delighted that we can now extend that partnership to delivering a dedicated live casino space," Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad said.

"We've significantly invested in live casino in recent years, particularly with the development of our 8,500 square metre studio facility in Riga, and we're confident Betfred will also reap the benefits of investing in the expansion of their live offering."

Shares in Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC) were trading up 0.31 per cent at 510.80 pence per share in London Monday morning.
