This week has seen a slew of new slot games released by some of the leading suppliers in the industry, including SG Digital, NetEnt, Yggdrasil, Microgaming, Pragmatic Play and Blueprint Gaming.

SG Digital

Scientific Games’ SG Digital division has launched seven new games this week, including titles from its NextGen Gaming, Red7, WMS and Barcrest studios.

Developed by NextGen Gaming, the Wild 3 introduces a character-driven theme with in-game achievements and missions that encourage continuous engagement and player loyalty. Eight missions empower maximum fun, and the wild west aesthetic creates a rich gaming experience for players.

From the Red7 studio comes Wild Streets, a 20-line game which showcases six features that can trigger on any spin, with players who win a cash prize able to choose to place it all on the line for an even bigger win. The experience is topped off by four jackpots.

Other titles launched this week include Reel Riches Fortune Age from the WMS studio and Valkyrie Fire from the Barcrest studio. Reel Riches Fortune Age boasts a pick bonus and free spins multipliers, while Valkyrie Fire brings a land-based favorite to the online space.

SG Digital has also released Let it Ride, King of Africa, and Gems Gems Gems.

NetEnt

Stockholm-listed casino games developer NetEnt is paying tribute to the timeless fruity slots with its new game release, Double Stacks.

The 5x3 classic slot game features free spins, stacked symbols, and land-based inspired lightshow style graphics.

Dialling up the classic theme, Double Stacks presents a visual feast of falling fruit pieces as it focuses on maximizing the excitement of classic 5-reel gameplay.

The new release incorporates the supplier’s Double Stacks feature that doubles all stack symbols that land flush in the reel, as well as free spins, where wilds can also be doubled up.

“We wanted to celebrate the enduring appeal of fruit style video slots and are delighted with the results,” said NetEnt chief product officer Henrik Fagerlund. “The key to Double Stacks is ageless simplicity, combined with radiant visuals – we are sure it will be a hit with old school players and newcomers alike.”

Yggdrasil

Games developer Yggdrasil has launched a new quest-based adventure slot Wolf Hunters.

The game transports players to a medieval town, ravaged by the ferocious Werewolf. Hunters attack the beast as soon as it hits the reels, with every successful battle rewarding the player with a sticky wild, a bonus respin and collection advancements.

Since players get a respin every time a wild hits the reels, hitting consecutive wilds can lead to huge wins.

Players can enter three types of free spin modes: ‘Regular’, ‘Slayer’ and ‘Hunter’, with the last two options collectable. All three modes involve spine-tingling bonus features and expanding wilds, as players grow in strength and attack the Werewolf.

“This game has a great deal going for it, but the first thing people will notice is the amazing ambience, which really draws you in to the game,” said Yggdrasil head of slots Jonus Strandman. “The theme, sound effects, animations come together to create a unique world, where players will enjoy spending their time.”

Yggdrasil has also this week agreed to provide its slots to Åland-based operator Paf, which serves players in Spain, Latvia, Estonia and Sweden.

The operator will launch Yggdrasil’s portfolio of games, including the Vikings trilogy, classic titles such as Jokerizer and Winter Berries, as well as latest slot releases Hanzo’s Dojo and Wolf Hunters.

“We are thrilled to partner with such a well-recognised brand as Paf with a long and successful history in gaming,” said Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist. “The deal proves we are seen by operators as the leading games provider in the Nordics and we look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with Paf.”

Paf chief gaming officer Kim Johansson added: “Yggdrasil’s casino content is a firm favourite in our current markets and has proven to be a great success across regulated markets, so we are very excited to be able to offer their highly innovative games to our loyal players.”

Microgaming

Microgaming has unveiled the latest slot to be developed by Triple Edge Studios and made exclusively available to its operator partners.

From the game studio behind Microgaming’s Playboy Gold and Halloween online slots, Wicked Tales: Dark Red reimagines a classic tale with a wicked new twist.

It is a five reel, 25 payline slot set in the foreboding forests of Ravenmire, where fortune and fantasy collide. The game features Triple Edge’s signature Wandering Reels, a group of three reels that spin together and contain Jumbo Blocks, which work to increase the player’s chance of landing big wins.

Landing three bonus symbols in the base game triggers the Wolf’s Wheel Bonus, where the suspense intensifies. During the bonus, players have the chance to spin the wheel for cash prizes, multipliers and the treasure chest, a symbol that leads to the Forest of Fortunes where the game’s pick bonus awaits.

Within the Forest of Fortunes, players can choose from a number of leather pouches to find cash prizes, which combine with a multiplier that increases each time a pouch with a cash prize is revealed. Immunities in the form of an axe can also be collected, helping players prolong the bonus round by defending against the lurking werewolf attempting to bring an end to the feature.

“Wicked Tales: Dark Red brings back the exhilarating Wandering Reels feature alongside a gripping feature guaranteed bonus wheel, which can lead to a pick bonus round or free spins round,” said Microgaming games publisher David Reynolds. “Triple Edge Studios have done an amazing job in combining darker elements with exciting features and new math design to inject newfound thrill and suspense into a classic tale.”

Blueprint Gaming

UK-based game studio Blueprint Gaming has launched Jackpot King Deluxe, an updated progressive jackpot system offering players even more ways to win big.

The popular multi-game system now features two ‘must be won by’ pots that are guaranteed to pay out by a fixed value.

Jackpot King Deluxe will be rolled out across Blueprint’s full suite of existing Jackpot King games and implemented onto new titles throughout the remainder of 2018 and into the new year.

“Jackpot King has revolutionised the online casino sector and is hugely popular with operators and their players,” said Blueprint Gaming managing director Matt Cole. “We’re very excited to introduce this new, deluxe version which is set to drive even greater engagement and raise excitement levels.

“We are thrilled by this partnership with 2BY2 Gaming and believe our platform will offer the developer tremendous value,” said First Look Games founder Tom Galanis. “2BY2 Gaming is a well-established and thriving premier game studio which seeds its content through aggregators and will hugely benefit from the direct exposure First Look Games gives them within our publisher network.”

Bob Schuijt, founder of MB Consulting International and the exclusive online distributor of 2BY2 Gaming slot content, said: “The challenge as a game supplier is that we have little to no control on how and to what extend operators promote our games. By directly connecting with the affiliates and their networks, we can finally bridge this gap and have better control to promote our great library of successful video slot games to a larger audience of players globally.

“The participating affiliates gain by having quicker and easier access to all of our game assets to be published as content to their readers, 2BY2 Gaming benefits by having better player exposure to our great games and the operators enjoy more wagering on our games as well. We are excited to work with First Look Games and to make this partnership a great success.”
