This week has seen a host of new games rolled out by NetEnt, Microgaming, Blueprint Gaming, Realistic Games, SportCaller, Lightning Box, Wazdan, Vegas Kings and Kiron Interactive, as well as platform integrations for Groove Gaming, Betsoft Gaming, BetGames.TV and Patagonia Entertainment.

NetEnt has launched a new science fiction-themed slot game Wild-O-Tron 3000.

The 5-reel, 3-row, 20 fixed payline game features Wild substitutions and stacked symbols, as well as the random Wild-O-Tron feature, which can be activated by any spin. Once triggered, the Wild-O-Tron machine emits a lightning bolt that lights up and transforms the reels adding Wilds all over the reels.

“Packed with cyborgs and transforming robots, Wild-O-Tron 3000 will resonate with sci-fi fans and gamers that love stacks and Wild symbol driven games,” said director of game products Bryan Upton.

“With easy-to-understand, obvious player value mechanics, a medium volatility profile and an interesting graphics package, this game can offer an all-round fun, entertaining experience with strong potential for big wins.”

Blueprint Gaming

Blueprint Gaming has launched Vikings Unleashed MegaWays, the supplier’s latest slot to feature Big Time Gaming’s MegaWays mechanic.

Set in the hazardous waters of the North Sea, the game sees the fearsome Viking warriors unleash their fury onto the reels, with 117,649 ways to win thanks to the MegaWays mechanic.

The gameplay features cascading wins, mystery symbols and a free spins mode which features an unlimited multiplier, while a unique dual-action gamble tool gives players the chance to compete for more free spins and bigger starting multiplier values by spinning the wheels.

In addition, the Freespins Unleashed Bet offers players a free spins selection and direct buy into the bonus game with increased volatility.

“Players will need to be fearless in the face of battle in our latest slots release, Vikings Unleashed Megaways,” said director of marketing and relationships Jo Purvis. “Our innovative new Free Spins gamble feature will add an extra layer of excitement to proceedings and along with the popular Megaways mechanic, we’re sure to see a few Vikings put to the sword in the fight for huge wins.”

Microgaming has released a fantasy-themed slot game Book of Oz, the latest title to be developed by independent Triple Edge Studios.

Book of Oz is a five-reel, ten-payline slot which takes players into a world filled with enchanted riches. Featuring Wilds, Scatters, Free Spins and Re-Spins, the fantasy-themed slot features symbols such as the lion of courage, the potion of love, the mystical wizard and the golden book.

The Wizard’s Book acts as both a scatter and a wild. Three or more Book Scatter Symbols trigger 10, 12 or 25 free spins, providing players with the opportunity for more frequent feature triggers. High-paying expanding and illuminating symbols can potentially trigger wins of up to 5,000 times the initial bet in free spins.

"Book of Oz is another fantastic creation by Triple Edge Studios enriched with magical artistry and packed with rich game mechanics,” said Microgaming games publisher David Reynolds. “Players can listen to an intriguing soundtrack while immersing themselves in the game to uncover an enthralling storyline as they play.

“The Re-Spin feature adds a new dynamic twist to the overall gameplay, enhancing the level of engagement and it combines extremely well with the win potential in the game, where players can win up to 5,000 times their bet.”

Triple Edge Studios design lead Brendan Walton said: “We are extremely excited to release Book of Oz, our fifth game this year under the Triple Edge Studios brand. This has been the most fun we’ve had developing a game and the Re-spin feature is a brilliantly fun addition.

“Bespoke hand-painted art was created to help tell our fantastical tale. Infused with fantasy and adventure, Book of Oz will leave players spellbound. Stay tuned for more exciting games from us in the future, which we will be supplying exclusively for Microgaming.”

SportCaller / Coral

SportCaller has launched a new free-to-play game for GVC-owned operator Coral to coincide with the PDC World Darts Championship which began this week in London.

It follows the success of SportCaller’s two prediction competitions earlier this year for the FIFA World Cup and the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season, and is part of Coral’s £1m Smart Money Series.

SportCaller’s new darts game asks players to answer ten prediction teasers. Players can enter and edit their answers anytime up until December 22nd, as the tournament unfolds and those who successfully answer all ten answers correctly will share a £100,000 pot.

“Coral’s £1m Smart Money Series kicks off with the darts this month and runs throughout next year - and having collaborated with SportCaller twice already, we’re confident these free-to-play offerings will continue to drive both acquisition and retention in the new year,” said Coral head of product Innovation Tim Dykes. “Ideas are the easy bit, bringing them to life is the challenge - and that’s where SportCaller have consistently delivered for us, in terms of slick UX, clean integration and reliable performance.”

SportCaller managing director Cillian Barry added: “Having worked successfully with the likes of Paddy Power Betfair, William Hill and bwin over the past few years, we’re excited to keep the ball rolling with Coral on the darts.

“After founding the free-to-play jackpot model with football and racing, it’s rewarding to see our games’ core values of outstanding gameplay and bet-conversion migrate so effectively across other sports and partners.

“This new, easy-to-deploy platform speaks directly to the heart of account-acquisition and retention. Given the sometimes fickle nature of the modern bettor, significant spends on free bets and sign-up offers make little sense. Instead, FTP games are the first real game-changer in this domain for years,” he added.

Groove Gaming / ALEA Gaming

Groove Gaming has secured a deal to provide ALEA Gaming’s SlotsMillion and LadyLucks brands with access to its aggregator platform.

"The variety of games we have on SlotsMillion makes the brand unique and we’re constantly searching for the right partners to keep that leadership advantage,” said SlotsMillion co-founder Alexandre Tomic. “Our philosophy at SlotsMillion centres around providing the best possible gaming experience to our players, and that involves offering high-quality games from top providers, which is why we sealed this deal with Groove Gaming.”

Groove Gaming head of sales Rebecca Sotomora said: "We are very excited to work with an industry heavyweight like ALEA as well as to provide our vast range of games for players to enjoy. We look forward to closely collaborating with one of the world’s most innovative igaming companies.”

Realistic Games

Realistic Games is taking players into an enchanted forest with its latest slot release Spin Dizzy.

The 5-reel slot game is filled with woodland magic including toadstools, pots of gold, and four-leaf clovers, while the fairy can deliver either the Spinning Wild or the Spinning Symbol feature on any single game.

Spin Dizzy also features a Free Spins bonus round triggered by three or four Scatter symbols. The player will win either a wild symbol or a free spin on each of the 15 reel positions.

In addition there are multiple wilds which can stay in place for every spin. Each wild symbol can also have a multiplier added to it, making those wins even bigger.

“We are delighted to unveil Spin Dizzy as our latest 5-reel slot,” said commercial director Robert Lee. “With its innovative bonus round and additional features in the base game we are sure it will be a hit with our players.

“The game is the second to be delivered using our Games Machine technology and enables to create more fun and exciting features. Our operator partners and their players can expect even bigger and better games utilising this technology in 2019.”

Wazdan has released Slot Jam, its 19th game release of the year which features three different Volatility Levels.

The 4-reel, 9-payline video slot is set in a candlelit larder packed with crates of fruit, preserves, jams and a mischievous mouse. It features Cascading Reels and a Mystery Bonus with up to 200 times payout on the original bet.

The Gamble Feature is set against a strawberry jam recipe book and allows players to choose between two fruit baskets, hiding juicy fruits or the mouse.

Slot Jam also includes Wazdan's Volatility Levels that allow players to set the game to a low variance where there are more frequent but smaller wins. Alternatively, Slot Jam can be put to a high level where the game has fewer although bigger wins.

“Slot Jam is replete with a range of topical features that will ensure lots of fun for players and add another great game to operators’ catalogues,” said head of sales Andrzej Hyla. “Our portfolio of outstanding original games continues to grow and the Unique Wazdan Features direct player attention to the immersive gameplay, making sure that our clients get access to the best gaming experience on the market."

In related news, Wazdan has launched its games with Twelve40-powered online lottery operator Islands Lotto.

It follows an agreement in April for Wazdan’s portfolio of more than 110 video slots, such as Mayan Ritual and Los Muertos, to be made available to Twelve40’s partners.

“Going live with Wazdan supports our vision to entice our clients with a range of the latest exciting content and gaming entertainment to complement our core lottery offering,” said Twelve40 business development director Nigel Renouf.

“We are proud to elevate our services by bringing on-board Wazdan’s premium collection of top-performing slot titles. The more varied and high-quality content that we can offer to our clients, the more attractive our platform and technology is to potential partners."

Wazdan’s Hyla added: “Our team places a great deal of emphasis on remaining ahead of the curve, and will continue to do so with partners like this one as we move forward to realise our strategic growth ambitions.

“Wazdan is extremely well-positioned after a highly successful year as the next generation slots supplier, offering involving original content and first-in-class technology. We are delighted to be able to offer a growing portfolio of exciting HTML5 slots for players on-the-go to the world's leading operators."

Lightning Box

Lightning Box has upgraded a number of its games in HTML5 for launch on SG Digital’s platform.

Popular titles including Chilli Gold, Frogs ‘n Flies, and Serengeti Diamonds were originally designed in Flash when the supplier’s founders, Peter Causley and David Little, first began designing content for Chartwell Technology in 2010.

These have now been revamped, alongside titles such as Diamond Tower, Angel’s Touch, Moon Temple, and Lost Temple, and will be distributed to European iGaming operators by SG Digital. Following a recent extension to that deal, the games will also be made available to online operators in New Jersey and Canada.

“Our Classic games have built up quite a reputation among players over the last decade or so and have quite rightly taken their place in the slots hall of fame,” said Lightning Box managing director and co-founder Peter Causley. “Players demand has seen them upgraded for the latest technologies on the most up-to-date devices and we are now able to put them in front of a new generation who are appreciating them afresh.”

"We were surprised at how easy, user-friendly and intuitive it was to build two games for the African Market and working with BetConstruct as a partner made the process extremely smooth and efficient."

BetConstruct gaming group product managerEdgar Mkrtchyan commented: “SlotBuilder is created to provide freedom and artistry for anyone who wants to design their dream slots.
